Google hosts “code jams”—contests that allow users to solve their big problems; finalists come to their headquarters—big prize is only $10K. Amazon, eBay, Cisco, SAS, and IBM all use a form of collective mindshare. At Wikipedia and YouTube, customers drive the car.
